Accessibility statement

We want this website to be usable by everyone. This statement describes what we do to achieve that, where there are still gaps and how you can report barriers to us.

Scope

This statement applies to the website welowe.de in both language versions. As a private company we publish it voluntarily and follow the requirements that apply to public sector bodies.

Conformance status

According to our own assessment, the website conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA and to EN 301 549. It was tested with keyboard, screen readers (NVDA and VoiceOver), magnification at 400 percent, text spacing and contrast checks, and automated tools. Date of assessment: 17 September 2026.

Known limitations

• The contact form contains a simple arithmetic question as spam protection. If you prefer not to or cannot answer it, you can always reach us by email or phone.
• There is no content in easy-to-read language and no sign language video. We are looking into adding these.

What this website does

• All functions can be operated with the keyboard; the focus is visible.
• Structure and language are marked up for read-aloud software, including changes of language.
• Text contrast is at least 4.5:1; links are underlined, not only coloured.
• Pages adapt down to a width of 320 pixels and can be magnified to 400 percent.
• There are no animations; the system setting for reduced motion is respected.
• There are no time limits, no auto-playing media and no flashing content.
